No point removing Aunt from the home, so I (maybe we) will go visit in the am. Then round to Pete's daughter's for dinner with his family - familiar for me, something completely different for Mum for the first Christmas without Dad - and her cat. More worried about the completely different world for Mum than the fact that it's the first Christmas without Dad.
We'll see.
My Christmas Eve was going fine until Mum phoned (I could have done without an hour putting the world to rights and hearing about the mess inhabiting her place - especially as I am the one who went flying across the kitchen yesterday because there's so much stuff here. On the plus side the plates and mug I was holding came out unscathed, on the minus side my shoulder hurts now!)
And The Cousin texted "can she call by when we get back from Dinner tomorrow?" Um, no, the plan for the day is more complicated than that... So she just phoned me and another half hour putting the world to rights. Geeezzzz.

Roll on Wednesday!

Our fathers will always be with us, just maybe not in the ways we would really like.
