Random Thoughts

Today is one of those grim winter days where it really seems as if it isn't going to get light today (bit annoying really as yesterday was a brighter day and I was out all day).
If it gets a bit lighter or I actually turn a light on I might find out if I managed to assemble a matching pair of socks from the (clean) laundry basket to put on this morning!

I'm not going to have a go at the meme going round - of writing a short piece to random prompts - coming up with something for the Gabby SeSa was hard enough. I only do it because, like many things in life, it is more fun when there are lots of participants. I'm not going to set myself up to promise something I really think I can't deliver.

Finally, anyone else come across a cat that has forgotten how to purr?
It's been getting less and less and I reckon she's only been moved to purr two, maybe three, times since Pete died. I'm not sure that has anything to do with it, or not, but that's sort of a reference point that I have been counting from. She seems happy enough, just not prepared/bothered/remembering to purr to show it. She's somewhere around 15-17 years old (I don't really know, sadly) and definitely showing her age - I'm not entirely sure that she doesn't have dementia herself.

If it's any consolation I often end up wearing mismatched socks thanks to a certain pup :-)
Maybe cat isn't purring cos she misses Pete like you do.
It's a really dreary day in Bilbao too :-(

Hugs

Many many hugs!

Cats can sense moods, and she may be missing Pete a lot too. I did have a cat who purred maybe once a year. he was perfectly content otherwise.
